Home / Boiler installation
A new boiler that fits your home, not the biggest one we can sell
Most people replace a boiler because the old one keeps failing or costs too much to run. We look at how your home is heated, recommend a boiler that suits it, and put the price in writing before any work begins.
What the job includes
From first visit to handover
- A survey of your home, radiators and existing pipework
- A recommendation on boiler type and size, with the reasons explained
- A fixed written price, including the work and the make and model
- The old boiler removed and the new one fitted and commissioned
- Controls set up, and a walk-through of how to use them
- Warranty registration and your paperwork sorted
When it is worth replacing
Signs a new boiler makes sense
- The boiler is over ten to fifteen years old and breaking down
- Repair costs are climbing and parts are getting harder to find
- Rooms are slow to heat or hot water runs out
- You are buying, selling or letting and need a sound system
- You want a more efficient boiler or better heating controls

Common questions
How long does it take?
A like-for-like swap is usually a day. Moving the boiler, converting to a combi, or making larger pipework or flue changes can take two or three days. We tell you which applies before we start.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the boiler and the work involved, so we give you a fixed written quote after the survey. We do not charge to quote.
Combi, system or regular boiler?
If you have one bathroom and want to free up space, a combi often suits. Bigger homes with high hot water demand may be better on a system boiler. We will explain the trade-offs for your home.
Do you take the old boiler away?
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old boiler and packaging is included.
